In this sections, you'll find a few extra features. Hopefully, they will be of some slight interest, either as a reader or as a writer. 

Essays

I know many writers have blogs, and more power to them. I don't have time to update a blog every day, but I do occasionally have odd thoughts I'd like to get out there and share with other writers and my readers. So I thought I'd write the occasional essay, and post it here. Plus, calling "Essays" makes it sound more . . . urbane. Like I throw on a beret and a tweed jacket before I sit down at my desk and write.    

The Germ Factory

No, not that type of germ. When I have an Idea, (and yes, the capitalization is intentional. Anyone can have an idea, but I have Ideas. Well, since I'm from the South, Idears.) I add it to a file called "Germ list". As in germinate. You know, the tiny little seed of a thought that eventually blossoms into a full blown story. I think it's cool as shit to know how and when a story starts; it just adds something. It's also important to see how an idea changes from the first moment of conception to the final product.
